Our History

Henan Derhyme Musical Instruments Co., Ltd. is a professional musical instruments manufacturer in Queshan county, China.Queshan country is also known as “town of violin”.

In 1980'S, our founder Mr.Li and his friends learned violin making skills in Beijing Musical Instruments Co.,Ltd. After accumulating a wealth of experience, he opened his own violin making workshop in Beijing in 2001. In order to expand production capacity, he and his team moved the musical instruments company to his hometown- Queshan country, Henan province.

Nowdays, as one of the world-leading manufacturer of handmade string instruments, we have more than 200 experienced luthiers and produce more than 300,000 violins, violas, cellos and double basses every year. Quality Tone wood

The choice of wood is the first and most critical step in the production of stringed instruments. We have six workshops for storing raw materials, which are used to dry our raw wood naturally. The air-drying time is more than five years before being selected to make stringed instruments. 

Each of our instrument is made by strict selection, and then hand-made by our luthier. Varnish is the secret of every luthier, our luthier paint on the surface of the violin will increase the toughness of the top panel and the back panel, making the violin sound more sweet and deep. Before delivery, we need to pass strict quality inspection personnel to ensure that each violin in your hand is perfect.

Strict Production Process

This is how we make an instrument, our luthier makes every stringed instrument carefully and strictly according to the traditional Italian craftsmanship. Each step is carefully completed by an experienced luthier. Becsuse we know every piece of wood can breathe and every piece of wood is alive, so we respect every piece of wood, carefully make every instrument, and let the life of wood bloom perfectly in another form.

Standardized Warehouse

Our company has  more than 200 experience luthiers and an annual output of more than 300,00 violins, violas, cellos and double basses. Our warehouse occupies more than a thousand square meters and has four floors, painted, unpainted, assembled, unassembled, all of these instruments neatly arranged in their respective positions.

In order to better store stringed instruments, the warehouse environment is constant temperature, ventilated and dry. In summer, the weather is hot, prevent direct sunlight exposure and open windows for ventilation; In winter, it is cold, turn on air-conditioning and warm air to keep the room at a constant temperature.
